The partnership was established following a selection process using several selection criteria. The partners are organisations with varying degrees of expertise in the environmental field. The partners readily adhered to the objectives proposed in the project, as the organisations have complementary knowledge of the project theme.
BUMIR s.r.l.
Bumir is an organisation based in the Romanian capital, Bucharest. The acronym of the name is formed from the motto from which the organisation was originally born: wellbeing, merit, involvement, responsibility. The issue of people from disadvantaged groups is one of Bumir's main focuses.
The Bumir organisation generally focuses on groups disadvantaged due to lack of access to education, as they are the most under-educated and represent the category with the most
most in need of support and assistance.
One of Bumir's concerns focuses directly on the issue of psycho-education of rural citizens to protect the environment in order to increase the quality of life and save resources in the long term.
O.P.E.I.
The Organisation for the Promotion of European Issues (O.P.E.I.) is an educational NGO, located in the Paphos region of Cyprus, which pays attention to issues such as social inclusion, education.
In recent years, OPEI has provided its expertise and assistance to enable local communities to overcome the social and economic disparities of disadvantaged social groups through the development of specific and innovative educational programmes.
OPEI works towards the goal of a better world with the active participation of members of society.
O.P.E.I. operates on the principle of equal opportunities, serving as a link between local rural communities and Cypriot and European society.
